HFC Universal Passwords

HFC uses one username and password for all systems, including HFC Online, HawkMail, Office 365, network logins and more. Please visit the HFC Universal Password Help page for information about changing or resetting your HFC password.

HFC HawkMail for Students

HawkMail is email for HFC students, powered by Google. HawkMail is a full-featured Google account, providing integrated support for Google services using your HFC username and password.

Before You Call For Help

Please review the Password Overview page before calling about system login issues. These pages contain self-service tips can can help you access the system without a phone call. If you do have to call for password help, please be sure to have access to a computer or mobile device when calling.

Important: The IT Services Help Desk does not provide support for HFC Online (Moodle). For assistance with HFC Online, please contact your instructor or the eLearning Department at 313.845.9663 or moodlesupport@hfcc.edu.

Henry Ford College Information Technology Services is located on the second floor of the Administrative Services Conference Center, Building L.

New Semester Software Loading Procedures

Software is updated or replaced before new semesters begin. Not during the course of the semester. New software requests must be in to Information Technology Services at least two weeks prior to the start of the semester. ITS will send out an e-mail reminder prior to the time. Original licenses and software must be provided to Data and Voice. Both original copies will be kept at Data and Voice.

Academic Start Menu

The Course-Machine Specific folder lists programs that may not be loaded on every machine in a lab. The HFC Tools folder contains standard utilities used by ACS users. The Startup.Jaws folder contains the icon for running Special Needs software, where installed.
